Dentist

Kamran Rafie D.D.S.

Dr. Kamran Rafie and the staff at Torrance Dental Center in Torrance, California strive to improve your smile and the smiles of your entire family while eliminating the stress that can come with visiting the dentist.

Dr. Rafie recieved his DDS at the University of Southern California (USC) in 1992 and has practiced in Granada Hills since 2002.

Dr. Rafie is also an active member of several prestigious dental organizations including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Infectious Disease Association of California, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Association.

Dr. Rafie met his wife while in dental school, and they now have two teenage children. When not attending to the dental needs of the Granada Hills community, Dr. Rafie enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and soccer, as well as hiking and traveling.

Dr. Rafie speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, and Farsi. In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Rafie offers cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and periodontal services.

Dr. Rafie prides himself on providing outstanding dental care that meets or exceeds standards of care at reasonable prices. He’s also sensitive to his patients' needs and concerns, and he respects your time by working as efficiently as possible during your appointments (and that includes using all the latest technology).

Sharareh Khoshbin D.D.S.

Sharareh Khoshbin, DDS is a general dentist practicing at Torrance Dental Care in Torrance, California.

Dr. Khoshbin provides the highest quality dental services, including fillings, pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and periodontal therapies.

She applies the latest technology to her dental work, including digital X-ray imaging. She's also certified in applying Invisalign.

Dr. Khoshbin and the team at Torrance Dental Center follow strict protocols for infection control and sterilization.

A 1994 UCLA graduate, Dr. Khoshbin majored in biology. She received her degree in dentistry from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1998. Following her graduation, she became a clinical professor and periodontal instructor with USC periodontics department until 2002.

Dr. Khoshbin is very attentive to her patient’s needs and takes pride in exceeding their expectations in both general and cosmetic dentistry. In her free time, she loves to read, study US history, and paint. She speaks fluent English and Farsi.

Jonathan Akhavan D.D.S.

Dr. Jonathan Akhavan is a highly esteemed periodontist and implant specialist, currently practicing in California. He employs cutting-edge technology to excel in the integration of implant, periodontal, and esthetic dentistry.

Graduating with a DMD from A.T. Still University, Dr. Akhavan pursued his periodontic residency at NYU, continually advancing his knowledge. Recently, he achieved certification in LANAP laser technology for periodontal surgery, showcasing his dedication to staying at the forefront of his field. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Akhavan stands among the select few recognized for their exceptional expertise in periodontics. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Akhavan cherishes moments of leisure, often traveling and enjoying beach outings with his wife, Jessica.
